This is a place to share experiences in learning about and developing smart sensors for exploration and characterization of the natural world.
In this blog, my friends at Jilin University in Changchun, China and I will work together to learn the basics of smart sensors, combining simple consumer microcontrollers and sensors with the principles of tiny machine learning, or AI. Our goal is to develop tools that will help address urgent natural hazards, water, energy, and other environmental issues that are creating humanitarian crises across the globe. We aim to provide these tools and training to anyone who needs them.
We will document our work as we learn from one another in these web pages. We hope this process will be useful to others as well.
